Oxfordshire XC League Newbury Showground

Congratulations to all 35 junior athletes who competed at the Oxford Cross League last Sunday at Newbury. The showground is a flat and fast course and prove to be a good opener to the season.
The younger age groups were well represented, which is good news for the future. The under 11 girls got to a great start with Izzy Haines-Gray (1st) , Emily Channon (7th) and Ava de Jonge (11th) leading the team.
Daisy Palmer (Under 17’s, 1st ), and Clover de Jonge (under 15, 5th) had exceptional races and lead the way in their respective age groups.
Freddie Jones made a strong start to the season coming 3rd overall (under 13’s). Ben Davies made a great start as a new under 17 finishing 5th overall.
