Barry Symonds is a Level 4 Performance Coach, specialising in the throwing events. He joined the club as an athlete in 1960. Later his children joined OCAC and went on to represent Great Britain and England in the Discus. He was a former Group Throws Coach to the South of England (Western Region) and Throws Coach to South of England teams that competed against Ireland, Russia and Belgium as well as teams competing in numerous indoor and outdoor Home Internationals. Barry has coached athletes that have represented Great Britain in Discus, Shot Putt and Javelin.
