Nathan Douglas and Gemma Bridge selected for Commonwealth Games

OXFORD City duo Nathan Douglas and Gemma Bridge have been selected to represent England at next year\’s Commonwealth Games.

The pair are part of a 75-strong team, who will head to the Gold Coast, Australia, for the championships, which take place from April 4-15.

Triple jumper Douglas, 34, will take part in his fourth Commonwealth Games, while Bridge\’s selection for the 20km walk caps off a memorable 12 months.

The 24-year-old only started race walking full-time earlier this year and made her international debut in August, when competing in the IAAF World Championships.
