It was a good weekend at the English Schools Combined Events Championship in Boston.
Jade O’Dowda won the Senior Girls’ Championship with 5442 points. This was a PB, and she also gained PBs in the hurdles, shot, 200m, long jump and javelin.(14.29, 11.69, 25.39, 6.00, 38.89). This score was also a new Championship record beating OCAC’s Yinka Idowu’s score from 1989 and places Jade fourteenth on the UK All Time List.
Oxfordshire Senior Girls (Jade, Katie Hetherington and Rebecca Scott (Banbury AC)) took Silver in the team competition. Katie set a PB with a score of 3912.
In the Intermediate Girls Zoe Pollock was 5th with a score of 4940, which was also a PB. She also ran 24.75s in 200m to set the U17 Girl’s Club Record. Zoe moves to twelfth on the UK All Time List.
