Following the last league XC race of the season at Henley on March 2nd, Oxford took a large haul of medals across all age groups. This is a summary:
U9 Girls Jesca Storey and Ariana Davis won silver and bronze, and the team took the gold medal – well done girls
U9 Boys Joseph Conway and Rorke Rowlett also won silver and bronze and the team also took gold for the season, with the B team in 4th place
U11 Girl Kitty Mumme-Young took gold, with sister Alice in 7th place, and the team took silver across the season
U13 Girl Tacita Kentish was 4th overall, and the team took the silver medal.
U13 Boy Evan Timbs was 6th overall, and the team 4th
U15 Girl Amelie Lorimer won the gold medal, and the team took team gold medal as well
U17 Girl Ella Ramsay won the silver medal and Izzie Haines-Gray was 4th, while the team took team silver
William Potts won the 1st and 4th races and was 3rd in the third race but injury prevented him from claiming what should have been a gold medal.
Harry Cann had a 2nd, 2nd and 5th before injury also prevented him from claiming a likely medal
Felicity Hannon won the women’s overall gold medal with two firsts, two second places and a 4th
Sarah Davies narrowly missed out on a medal in the V50 age group
Gwyneth Hueter took bronze in the V60 age group
Oxford City women placed second overall for the season and a silver medal. Stewart Thorp was silver medalist in the V70 age group
Jonathan Davies won the U20 men’s age group
The men’s team narrowly missed out on a team medal, with a 4th place, just a hundred points or so behind Headington.
