Our Track

Oxford City AC have been at the Horspath track since the mid-1970s, and it has been our home track since then. The track was a cinder track initially, but was converted to all-weather tartan track in 1996. It was resurfaced by Oxford City Council in 2015. The track has undergone constant maintenance and improvement, with funds being provided by the Club and Oxford City Council. The track is used year-round, and is particularly busy in the summer, when there are competitions at the track every week from April to September. The Club has a large programme of competitions which it organises annually.

In February 2021 we upgraded to LED floodlights.

The track benefits from a beautiful setting at the foot of Shotover Hill Country Park. It has parking for up to 250 cars, with capacity for overflow parking. The trackside buildings comprise a clubhouse and café (usually open during home competitions), changing rooms, toilets and showers.
