Veteran Teams begin with wins

Oxford’s two veteran teams both began the season with wins, the men holding off Abingdon in second place by 7pts, the women tying for first place with Radley AC. There were good wins on the night for Aaron Burgess, Chris Prince and Rob Webster in the 1500m races, for Sarah Nickelson in the hammer, for Steve Macauley in shot and hammer, for Tracey Isaac in javelin, for Isabell Hess-Peterson in long jump and high jump, for Mannie Stone in the 100m, for Kevin Dykes in the 400m, and for Popsie Wootten and Gwyneth Hueter in the 100m. The second match is at Tilsley Park on Monday 14th May at 6.30pm. All support welcome.
