City’s winning streak continues

Another weekend and another set of remarkable results for Oxford. In the Southern Athletics league on Saturday our seniors were away at Luton, and after a close fought match, and despite coping with some serious last minute withdrawals due to injury and illness, won by just a couple of points from Luton, Serpentine, Huntingdonshire and West Norfolk, keeping our unbeaten record and keeping us top of the table.
On Sunday our juniors continued their unbeaten season, winning their 2nd round Wessex match at Horspath against strong opponents Basingstoke, Marlborough, Portsmouth, Wimborne and Woking. The under 13 girls and under 17 men were outright winners of their age groups, but strong showings in all age groups meant Oxford left the match winners by over 120 points from Basingstoke in 2nd place.
