Oxford Mail Cross Country Winners

Well done to everyone who took part in this winter’s Oxfordshire cross country league. We had a very high level of participation among all age groups, and the races were exciting, as well as tough and demanding. The final race of the season at Henley showground was particularly wet, cold and slippery. Well done to everyone who took part. After 5 rounds Oxford emerged with a number of age group winners. Well done to the following who were particularly well placed in their age groups:
Isabella Haines-Gray – under 11 girls winner
Payon Carter – 8th under 13 girls
Freddie Jones =4th under 13 boys
Clover de Jonge 4th under 15 girls
Hermione Brewster – 6th under 15 girls
Daisy Palmer – under 17 girls winner
Henry Channon – 7th under 15 boys
Ben Davies – 3rd under 17 boys
Dan Blake – 2nd senior men
Julian Richardson – winner v50 men
Stewart Thorp – winner v60 men
Jenny Hannah – winner u20 women
The club is awarding medals to all juniors who took part in the league this season. Please speak to your coach about this. The medals will be available later in March.
