OCAC juniors excel at Oxon XC League

The third round of the Oxon XC League was held at Bo Peep Caravan Park Adderbury on Sunday 7th January.
In the U9 boys & girls race A Garry was 3rd and Ella Ramsay was first girl finishing 9th.
In the U11 girls race Isabelle Martin finished first with Isabella Haines-Gray finishing a close 2nd, Emily Channon 13th, Florence Salmon 29th, Maizie Neal 33rd, Sienna Hardy 40th and Dominique Dunn 46th.
U11 boys Alfie Barnes returning from illness was 5th, Monty Salmon 16th, Henry Myers 27th, Louis Griffiths 32nd, Euan Currie 33rd, Ben Jackson 36th, Benjamin Straughan 40th, Harry Cann 47th.
U13 girls Olivia Martin was 2nd despite falling on the course, Clover De Jonge 3rd and new recruit to the club Kitty Galbraith a excellent 6th meaning the girls took the team competition with a total of 11 points, 17 points in front of Newbury A.
U13 boys Henry Channon maintained his winning streak supported by a fast improving Benjamin Sims in 3rd, Lewis Currie 6th, Freddie Jones 8th, Jonathan Davies 24th, which meant like the girls the boys took the team prize by one point from Radley AC.
U15/U17 girls Daisy Palmer ran her best race of the season to finish 2nd, Jamie Garry 5th, Alessandra Prince with her best run 7th, Emily Haines-Gray 17th, Grace Whitty 23rd. This fine team performance by the girls gained them the overall team win by 6 points over Abingdon A.
U15/U17 boys Jake Taylor led the boys home with a great run to finish 3rd, Benjamin Davies 9th, Louis Enskat 15th, Jamie Scott 19th, this result put the boys in 3rd in the team competition.
