Membership Renewals 2017-18

The new club website is going live on March 1st 2017, and one of the first things we will be doing is asking our members to renew their memberships online via the new website. In the next few days all members will receive an email from the club inviting them to visit the website to renew and pay online.
Just to remind you, your membership includes payment of your England Athletics Registration fee of £14.00 (if applicable). Your membership also covers the cost of insurance, purchasing new training and competition equipment for the club, the cost of hosting matches at Horspath, a subsidy for transport to away matches, league affiliations, and many other things besides.
The process for renewing your membership online is a simple one. Because this is a new system and you are not currently registered as a “user” of the club website, this year only we will be asking you to sign up as a “user” of the site. You will not need to do this again in future years as long as you remain a member of the club. We will simply remind you once a year by email that your membership is due. Once you are registered as a user you can pay your annual membership using a credit or debit card (though there is an option for those who wish to continue paying by cash or cheque). The precise steps for renewing your membership online will be explained in the email you receive later this week.
It is important to note that as a current member you will not need to use the JOIN US button on the website. This is strictly for the use of people who are not currently members and who wish to register as members for the first time. There is a slightly different process for new members to join.
As in previous years, coaches, active officials and regular volunteers are entitled to free membership, as are current internationals. Those entitled to free membership will receive a different email, explaining how to activate their free membership. If you are currently a paying member but think you may be entitled to free membership then please contact Richard Hart.
FAMILY MEMBERS – if you are members of a family with a single Family membership then you will receive separate emails for each member. You will need to register each family member but you will only need to pay the membership renewal fee of £50 for two members of the family (total £100). The third, fourth and further members of the family who are entitled to free memberships will have to register on the site and renew their memberships individually (whether you use the same email address and password for each member is your choice). In order to renew the additional memberships you will need a FREE VOUCHER code which I will send you on request.
If you do not renew your membership before the end of March 2017 there is a danger that you will not be registered with England Athletics before the start of the new track and field season. We will therefore send you further renewal reminders in the coming weeks.
If you wish to resign your membership for 2017-18 (in other words you are leaving the club) please let me know by email and I will remove you from the club’s database. You will not receive any further reminders about renewing your membership.
