Yinka represented Great Britain in the Long Jump at the Olympic Games in Barcelona.
Yinka Idowu attended Headington Girls School. She won a Gold Medal representing Great Britain in the Long Jump at the 1991 European Junior Championship Thessaloniki, Greece. In 1992 Yinka represented Great Britain in the Long Jump at the Olympic Games in Barcelona. Yinka was coached by former heptathalete International Marcia Marriott as were David Vigeon and David Ralson who were both Great Britain Junior Internationals.
